Luckily, our kitchen is full of ingredients that can improve skin tone. Some of these are as under:
Baking soda
Baking soda is a good skin brightener agent that works well in the form of emulsion.
Method:
· Take 1 tsp of baking soda
· Add 1 tsp of water and mix it well
· Rub this paste in circular motion on the affected area
· Leave it for a minute
· Wash off with warm water
Lemon
Lemon works as a bleaching agent to lighten up the skin tone.
Method:
· Take juice of freshly squeezed lemon
· Apply it to the darker areas with a cotton ball
· Leave it for drying for half an hour
· Wash off
Orange Peels
Orange is loaded with citric acid and has exfoliating properties which aids efficiently in curing uneven skin texture.
Method:
· Take dried, pulverized orange peels
· Add yogurt to make a paste
· Apply it to uneven part of the skin
· Leave it for 10 minutes
· Clean with lukewarm water
Honey
Honey is a good humectant apart from being a strong anti-bacterial and antioxidant. Humectants are capable of enclosing moisture in the skin. Dry skin often turns red and irritated. Honey pays a vital role in making skin tone even.
Method:
· Take a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of honey to it
· Put 1 tablespoon of olive oil
· Add yolk of 1 egg
· Put in a small amount of milk or yogurt and Mix it well
· Apply this paste on the face evenly
· Let it remain for 15 minutes
· Rinse with warm water
Tomato
Oatmeal is full of nutrients capable of penetrating deep into the dermal layers to leave it soft and smooth. It can be applied alone mixed with some water or mixed with yogurt. Still, another mask helpful is given underneath.
Method:
· Mash 1 tomato
· Press on sieve and extract the juice
· Put 2 tsp of oatmeal
· Add ½ tsp of yogurt
· Blend well
· Apply
· Let it dry
· Wash off after 10-15 minutes
Turmeric
Turmeric has been used for ages to lighten and brighten up the skin tone.
Method:
· Take turmeric powder- 1 tsp
· Add 1 tsp of lemon juice
· Mix together
· Apply on the dark areas
· Let it sit for 10-15 minutes
· Rinse off with lukewarm water
Warning: Carry out this remedy before going to bed as skin exposure immediately after the treatment is harmful.
Milk
Lactic acid present in milk is known for its lightening properties.
Method:
· Take raw milk
· Soak a cotton ball in it
· Apply it o the darkened skin
· Let it remain for overnight
· Wash off the next morning with warm water.
Vegetable rub-rub
Rubbing vegetable rubs by making use of vegetables like potato, tomato and cucumber slices helps in cleansing and moisturizing the skin to brighten it and have an even skin tone. Let it stay for a minimum of 10 minutes to get that sheen.
These remedies benefits just like any skin brightener creams available in the market. Though, out here the benefit lies in the fact that you do not have to move out. In the comfort of your home, you can get all that you need.
